Anne Phung Nguyen

I am Anne Phung Nguyen and I am a Vietnamese American entrepreneur residing in gorgeous Orange County California with my incredible husband JP and my happy-go-lucky Dad Henry. People know me best through my Instagram account @annephung. In this blog, I will share my story-the highs, the lows and all in between. In 1990, my family moved to America. When I was of one and a quarter, I joined my parents. Knowing I had an opportunity at a better future I aimed to be their proudest and had tunnel vision for success. My life was set out as follows: I'd go to university, get an employment in a company, marry and buy an apartment. My plan for success was to go to college after graduation, and then find a corporate job. After that, I'd marry to buy a home and then have children. Life had other ideas. When I was in 2013, I started looking forward to going back to work. job the money and status did not bring me joy- I felt that I was throwing my time and energy to earn a living but I knew that I was destined for something more. The year 2013 was when I discovered that my true passion was fitness. I also loved socializing and being able to assist other people. In the process of pursuing this new direction in life, I started to find private training. The business I started in the year 2014. My company is celebrating its seventh birthday this year. There are few Asian women working in this industry. Within the field of coaching I would like to make a difference through providing high-quality training that will help others become more healthy and happy. In addition, I wish for others to be empowered to achieve their goals and accomplish whatever they want in life. When my business was taking off and I was advancing, my mom passed away. This loss is the hardest of all. She fought a long and arduous battle with Scleroderma and is now in Heaven as well as with me in my thoughts and my heart all the time. Although you may not be able to see it at first, life has a funny way of offering us the things we need. The passing of my mother changed me in many ways, and I am convinced that my mom gave me a second opportunity to live my life after her death. The day she died was Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she died. The time was right for her to move on to her next chapter as well as my opportunity to lead an authentic and satisfying life. Now into my 30's I am alive and conscious of the fact that I live my life now rather than merely living as I was in my past. My intention in sharing my experience is to show you that, you are not alone. I hope that you be aware that love exists and that therapy is normal. Your health is truly the most important asset you have. My hope is that you will live life fully and that your death be without regrets, since that's the only thing that we have to be confident about in this life.
